Cyber Stud Poker Rules Cyber Stud Poker (Caribbean) is basically the Internet version of the five-card stud poker game that was first played on Caribbean cruises. Now, this game can be found at many casinos online or on land. In general, Stud Poker is a fast-paced game, easy to learn and fun to play online. You play the hand you're dealt and there is no draw in this casino game. This makes this game fun, fast and easy. All player hands are playing against the dealer's hand, not against each other - which makes the game a bit more social, too. It is pretty simple, you bet, you get your hand dealt to you, and you get to see one of the dealer's cards even. After doing so, you figure-out if you want to stay in the game (by increasing your wager) or get out. How the game is played This game begins with all players making the mandatory ante bet. The dealer takes sets of 5 cards from the shuffler (this can vary at online casinos) and puts one before each player as well as him/herself. The dealer then reveals one card of his/her set and puts it on top of his/her remaining four cards. Then, he or she pushes each set of cards closer to its player. This is when you pick your cards up and look at them. Online, software may be automatic as far as when you can see your cards, but you should not try to until the deal is complete. Now, check your hand and decide whether it is playable. You should have knowledge of poker hand rankings to play at this point. After you check your hand, you have 2 choices: 1. You can fold and lose your ante bet. 2. You can play out the hand you were dealt by placing a bet wager. Now, your bet must be exactly twice the amount of your initial ante bet. After all players have made their decision, the dealer then turns over his/her other 4 cards and makes the best possible poker hand from it. The dealer will qualify by getting a hand of ace-king or higher. If the dealer does qualify, he/she compares their hand against each player's hand. If the player's hand is higher in ranking than the dealer's they win back both bets. If the player's hand does not beat the dealer's, the player loses both bets. In the extremely rare event of a tie (player's and dealer's hands are identical), its a draw, no money changes hand. If the dealer's hand does not qualify, all players that stayed in the game win back only their ante bet. You should know the bet wager is considered a push and is not paid off. Winning the ante bet is always paid-off at even money, no matter what your hand is. If the dealer qualifies and a player has a better hand, the bet wager is paid-off accordingly to a payout schedule, check your casino for specifics.
